Children of The Damned ?

Published January 11, 2014 by debrabellink

“Is it wrong that I’m smiling right now?”

“They’re children of Buono voters.” Buono voters. children of Buono voters?

Hey, er, are they kin to – DA–DUH!–the children of the damned?

Far from it, but you wouldn’t think so.  Heck, just the phrase –children of –wwweeeewww–Buono voters conjures up some p-r-e-t-t-y sinister thoughts.. don’t it though?

What exactly is a buono ? she is the Democrat  who ran against Christie in last November’s gubernatorial race.

Chris Christie endeared himself to me last year when super storm Sandy hit N.J., Staten Island, LI. and N.Y.C.  His tough , get it done,,’ bravado and more than open hand he extended to president Obama led me to believe he was a bipartisan governor doing everything and anything to help the people devastated by the incredible storm.

The spotlight lit Christie like the bright rising star that he obviously thought he was. A moderate republican when there were nearly no moderates left.

A breath of fresh air.

However———————–

press conferences yet to come would find christie  calling one young man who questioned him  an, “idiot.” I gather he didn’t care for the question.

A parent standing in one room pleaded with Christie to stop taking money from public schools for, what was the difference. “Your children,” she said, “attend private schools.” (with helicopter pick up, I should add.) To her he said, “mind your own damn business.”

Now, I don’t know ’bout my readers, but I didn’t feel comfortable, nor would I put my friendship or, more importantly, my vote in the corner of a man who bullied and insulted anyone; no matter the ‘reasoning’.  If he calls people morons, idiots, and  busy bodies, or, as he did a few weeks ago, call Rachael Maddow a ”have nothing better to do liberal, who makes up lies”, out in front of the T.V. cameras, what must he call these same people when behind closed doors ?

already it is known that  six to eight persons in his inner sanctum knew of the  three lane closures on the G.W.  the closures began over 100 days before Christie says he first was apprised of the traffic nightmare.

two days go by, then five.  I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt and throw out ten days—okay, okay, give it twenty—twenty days !      BUT… let’s not think for one second that he had no idea on the 50th day, or the 80th, for crying out loud.

anyone who knows the way Christie operates his administration knows he runs an extremely tight ship… of this I feel quite sure… being the uncouth bully that he certainly seems to have shown himself to be.  a stray secretary might not have had an inkling what was going on, but his chief of staff ?, his campaign manager of approx. six years, and the friend of his since high school, the man who pleaded the fifth to every single question posed to him?

In  his heart, he is not a liar he said… and Nixon, I remember,  said,  ”I am not a crook…”  bull… to  both.

what could have made those most trusted around him feel they would make their boss, the governor, happy to have emergency vehicles stopped, school buses filled with kids—kids, on the way to their first day back at school after Christmas vacay, stopped and at least one 911 call, to which the ambulance did not arrive in a timely manner because of the nightmarish traffic, ended in death for a woman who suffered from chest pains.

after chris Christie held a press conference for almost two hours, consisting mostly of his own feelings of being, insulted, lied to, saddened, and just blind sided, I wondered how he could be so irresponsible as to appoint people who he had no idea would do this to him… after all, he had said his administration were like family… not a big happy family to be sure, or… maybe they were. BUT I do believe instead of focusing on your own feelings, you should have been focusing on the people of ft. Lee and beyond… was the character you showed during Sandy a farce? a phony act to get money for your state.

If you work for a good man or woman, a caring civil servant, one who is supposed to be looking out for the good of the common people of his state, congressional district or the country and people to which he has promised to protect, there should not be a kernel of a thought that…oh, yes, closing what might as well be an entire side of a major bridge would be an incredibly AWSOME idea.  who, of those that are right and fair and civic-minded would give  something such as that even one half second thought.

Its called character. the servant of the people should have it, and those he or she surrounds their selves with, should be mined for it.

Obviously character is something hiz honor is sorely lacking, and obviously character means NADA to you Governor Christie.  Keep it up!  I don’t believe you have this thing called character which I think is a thing you should have inside if you are  thinking of running for the highest office of these United states, much less governor of the great state of new Jersey.

shame on you gov… you fooled me once,  it won’t happen again, I PROMISE..
